Trial and error is one way to learn how to work with reporters
and editors, but experience as a newspaper, television and radio
journalist is better. Doug Carlson is experienced in all three media -- in Hawai`i and on the mainland.
Doug has reported or edited for The Honolulu Advertiser; KGMB-TV in Honolulu;
The Chicago Daily News and
two Westinghouse Broadcasting Company pioneering all-news radio stations -- KYW in
Philadelphia and KFWB in Los Angeles. He earned bachelors and masters
degrees in journalism from the University of Iowa and Northwestern
University's Medill School of Journalism respectively.
Based on what is arguably the broadest media experience among Hawai`i consultants, Doug helps clients
tell their stories, clarify their messages and deliver them to their key audiences.
